A nice day in SF

We visit the city on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. We figured that Waigong and Waipo probably missed city life and seeing all the people and hearing all the noises, having lived for many years in a 5-million-people city in China. Everyone has a great time. Luca is totally fascinated by double-deck buses and trolleys.

Maya comments on the model: "Mommy, I don't think it's appropriate for her to dress like that." Mommy agrees, of course, hoping she'd still have the same opinion when she's 18.

Visit the famous bakery in Chinatown, where President Clinton has visited, and buy some pastries. They're really really good.

Best friends, always.

We didn't plan it but we visit a gallery near Union Square and end up buying an artwork by a French artist. It will be a Thanksgiving gift to ourselves, I guess. Since Mama and pappa stay in the gallery for quite a while, Luca and Maya are quite bored towards the end. Luca even takes a nap on the floor.

Watch ice skating in Union Square

Snack time
Chinatown. Maya loves Chinatown and asks mama and papa if we can live here.

Inside the hotel Westin San Francis, where a huge sugar castle is being displayed

It takes us a long while to drag Luca away from the sugar castle. It's not so much about the castle, but the cute train circling.

Hard not to behave like a tourist in SF
