A week ago, we went to Bear Valley for a snow trip, renting a 4400 square feet cabin near Arnold for three nights, which we shared with four other families. The kids had a blast of time, and the adults had a lot of fun, too.
Luca takes a bubble bath in the cabin
Now it's Maya and Angelica's turn.
Luca is all dressed up for skiing, but unfortunately the class is only for 4 years old and above. He's very frustrated and upset. mommy invites him to build a snowman together but he's doing it half-heartedly
He's completely sugar-overloaded because mommy feels bad that he cannot do the class she has bought him chocolate cookies and chocolate milk.
Maya is ready for her first ski class
With her friends Ethan and Angelica
Disappointed, Luca wanders around after his nagging goes nowhere.
See, Luca is still not happy.
Maya starts her class…it's a 5 hour $150 class, but there're way too many kids and she spends most time waiting for her turn to do something interesting. Next time, we'll let Maya take a private class instead.
Poor Luca watches Maya learning how to ski
We thought that we couldn't rent ski equipments for Luca because he's too young, but it turns out that it's not true. So finally Luca gets his boots. He's soooooo happy and proud!!!
Daddy gets stuff for himself, too, and after having not skied for 15 years, he's still doing well. Mommy, who's never skied before, coaches Luca, pulling Luca uphill and helping him go down. It turns out that Luca has a built-in talent, and he's not afraid at all. He's got a special sense of snow, we think.
After her class, Maya joins Luca and they ski together for another two hours.
At night, back in the cabin, Maya, Ethan, and Angelica share a bed and sleep together. They read, they play, they just love being together.
On the way home, we stop by Mercer Cavern, discovered in 1885.
